Thanks to Arnold Yen  who sent a link to this YouTube video about a special basketball player.

He started as a water and towel boy but enjoyed it, nonetheless. At the last game of the season and with four minutes left in the fourth quarter, their coach (Jim Johnson) surprised many by letting this water boy play. Of course, he missed his first two shots but the third time went in scoring from the 3-point area and so was the following six other baskets - all from the rainbow area! At the end of the game he scored 20 points, the highest in that game. Oh, and by the way the player, Jason McElwain, is autistic. Here’s his story or history:

After that he moved on to become the team manager and into the spot light rubbing elbows with Pres. George Bush, Oprah and Magic Johnson. His story continues to inspire people around the world.

Another proud moment for the Filipino youth!

In 2006, FilAm Glendale High School student Elaine Panlaqui attended the G8 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia with two other schoolmates, Viannca Montesino and Kelly Velasquez. During the summit, they collaborated with other youth representatives from all over the world and authored a document that was presented to the leaders of the G8.  More…
