Communication Arts

Filipinos can pride themselves to over-learning the English language. Exposure to the language started in the first grade and ends about the third year of college, depending on what course one is taking. The average Filipino student will be taught, repeatedly, the art of communicating in English for 12 years. So why are we so messed up linguistically?
Proof?
PS - Since this guy was on drugs, he doesn’t count but I just wanted to put it in. It’s funny.

Ummm… yung guy I really cannot say anything about him. But for the pageant, she won because only 10% accounts for intelligence in the scoring. And she won in the minor awards so she was, technically speaking, a shoo-in. Was this choice a good one? We will soon know.

‘yun nga ang nakakatakot - walang choice kasi. Yeah, we’ll just have to wait and see and suffer the consequence, if ever…

I’ve wondered too if the other finalists were just that bad, she emerged with the crown! She would need a really good interpreter during the worldwide competition to have a chance and not say anything stupid in english. Wasn’t she a MassComm student?
A little bit of polishing his english and being sober is all this dude needs then apply for a position in some “callcenters”.
Or maybe a Pacyaw spokesperson. Cheers!
